So, um, I dropped my Gamebuino...

Whoops! Still works, even after the fall from my backpack. This does seem to be a bit of a weak point in the case, however, weak being relative.
I'm going to leave it attached until I can get some plastic safe CA to patch it.

When Rodot launches the online store to buy new cases you'll be able to replace it

I dropped my Gamebuino from 2 meters (~6 feets) about 30 times, and threw it against the walls of my rooms without managing to break it (don't try this a home). I'm sorry that your broke on the first drop
The good news are that as Matrix828 said you'll be able to get a new, colored case. Moreover the colored cases will be 3mm thick (instead of 2.5mm for the clear ones), so they should be slightly more resistant.

Indeed! I think it managed to land perfectly on the corner of the panel, and that's why it broke. It still works, so it's not that big a deal XD When I noticed it, I was expecting something else to be broken, but nothing is (that I can tell, have no spi or I2C stuff to test
)

Jesus! What did you make these out of?
Thought about cases: are you going to have a Game Boy themed case? Because that would so work for me.

I understand the idea, but I don't see how that would be possible with the laser-cut acrylic?

The case is made out of a plastic called acrylic. It's strong, light, and reasonably cheap. It's a bit brittle under the right conditions, but overall, it's a good plastic.

You could use a 3D printing service like shapeways if you want to print a Gameboy-like "wrap-around" case. Rodot made a CAD file available of the Gamebuino, so if you can use CAD software, designing a complete case and getting it printed would be easy. If the design is good, other people might want to order it too (which means you'd get a small part of the profit every time somebody orders one).
