I'm actually really hoping the successor to Gamebuino (whenever that is) has the display of Tiny Arcade. An improvement on the resolution, and lots of color! I would still be OK with only 16 though.
I have seen so many arduino game consoles lately that I really really wish I had the money for a collection to put on display in my room.

What other consoles have you seen? Do you have links to their websites please?

This Tiny Arcade is surely a great source of inspiration, thanks for the tip!
What's really interested about the tiny arcade is that they seem to have a sort of SD bootloader on the Arduino Zero chip... I'm curious to see how it works, if it runs games from RAM or whatever. If some of you find more info (or even the source) don't hesitate to share ;)

I agree Gamebuino would benefit from higher resolution and color, although we would need a larger screen than that if we want a good gaming experience, not just a funny gadget.

No problem! You know, out of all the handheld Arduino consoles, not one can come even close to what the Gamebuino can offer. Even with a color screen, Tiny Arcade is just too awkward a shape to be used like Gamebuino can. Display quality just won't sell it for me. Not unless I have enough money to justify a collection of all the things on this list.
I am trying to find more info about the Tiny Arcade's bootloader now.

You can also add this to the console list: http://arananet-net.kinja.com/arcapi-la ... 1700598758
However I prefer the design of gamebuino than those listed so far

Thanks for the link! Another thing I can't justify purchasing... :(
And yes, there is no other console with so many features for the price. R0d0t, if you read this, know that the price is one of the best perks of the Gamebuino.
Is this actually a commercial product though? It looks like someone's DIY project, but I can't tell because I only speak English (and some small amount of German)

Confirmed, it's a DIY. The pictures told me.
