this is a suggestion on 8 types (stats not final by no means)
so u got ur neutral which are more like ur normal animals
flying is like birds which is very similar to neutral except that it advantage in range
water fire plant are the obvious 3 way elements
virus is a story element so it has to be there bit of over powered on all types except for..
dark and light 2 magic types that cancel each other out and are strong against virus

Great! It not only makes drawing easier, but also helps out story development. I'm glad the Virus type was implemented, I'll try and figure out a way to implement the Light and Dark types as well.

Btw, I noticed that the Light type is more effective against Dark than Dark is to Light, is that a mistake or something?

i think you should stick to the actual pokemon type effectiveness, as water shouldnt be super effective to neutral, and neutral to water. (assuming im reading it correctly)

well i thought dark was very affected by all types but has its own realy big weakness against light idk
again by no means a stable system i setup but the i think 8 types are enugh
im actually not sure if virus is a playable unit , or at least one u cant order it, it would just do its own thing in battle

by all means if u got a better configuration i like to see how the rest would balance out

heres an idea for both AeroQC and adekto:
I kinda wanted for virus to be a type, but it can kinda be like shiny pokemon; its very rare to come across and that specific monster affected would be different somehow

I think given our limited palette and size, it'd be better to either;
A.) Make Virus a Type
or
B.) Make it purely status related
but i value the community's input, so i think we should have a vote
