Nice work Adekto,

I really want to make a sprite for the pokemon styled game but iam new in the pixel art thing.
I downloaded i few prgrams but i dont find a good one for this purpose. I neen a pixel editor that have the colors black white and grey.(if they are colors :P) Can you recommend a good program for me to start with?

I think a good starting point for the story is that we made the Buinomon, and they rised up against us and forced us to live in sealed bunkers(like in fallout). And when we got out, nature(and the Buinomon) have reclaimed the world. And after 'X' years, the main story starts.

Ive been using aseprite - http://www.aseprite.org at home and Sprite Something on the move (app store).

I don't know but I recon if the character can work without grey it may be best due to the memory problems it could cause, especially if they all are animated, or has this issue been fixed?

I too have been toying with the idea of an RPG with a turn based fighting system, but think the biggest obstacle is going to be getting everything on the screen at once without it being cluttered. Only having 4 possible actions like in the gameboy Pokemon as oppose to say final fantasy where you may have 20 different magic attacks is a good move. Maybe also hiding enemy health bars could save space on the screen and add to the mystery of how powerful they are?

Made something today. I call it a Neudryn (just made it on the spot) and it's a fire type of Buinómon with a flame at the end of it's tail. It's like a lion combined with some wolf features. I will be posting some more ideas later.

I have made another Buinómon. This time a snake type most likely with grass power and decided to call it Darfix. Once again i made an evolution form of it aswell.

Do you guys think evolutions should be used in the final game?

This Buinómon is a dinosaur type with plates and spikes sticking out of it and I was thinking that the spikes could be used in it's attack some how. I'm not sure if the evolved one is a bit too much. What do you guys think? :?

I think we should decide if were having Buinómon types and if they can evolve before designing them, that way we have a foundation to what were doing.
