Few millimeters larger yes but otherwise almost the same size.
I wasn't aware those were rare.. Mine seem nearly undestructible :) battery and all still work great

Ok, I knew they were very similar in size.
Yeah, Gameboy Micro came out a little before the DS, and that kinda stole its thunder. If you look on ebay you can find rather worn out ones at upwards of $150, up to about $300 for ones in decent condition. I looked into getting one a while back, but getting a GBA SP in the same condition would cost like $30

Cheaper Gameboy Micro:

None in stock right now, but check often, they restock all their consoles fairly often. If you are fast enough you could grab one for cheap.

Wow. I've never seen a Game Boy Micro that cheap before! At least not in working condition. I wonder where they get them? Anyway, I guess that proves that ebay doesn't always save money.

Nowadays eBay is almost always more expensive... and often significantly more expensive. I haven't bought anything on eBay for a long time.

It does depend on what you're after. For instance, sometimes you find things like the Raspberry Pi for cheaper. Then again, sometimes not. The main way you can save money is if you get an auction all to yourself.

I recently got a Game Gear.

Words cannot describe the joy that I have with it.

Interesting how you have all these consoles that haven't been made in years! I can understand that, though. If I had my way, I would have every console produced, and a lot of games for each. Here's my 'fantasy list' top hits(this includes modern consoles):
-XBOX
-XBOX 360
-Playstation
-Playstation 2
-Playstation 3
-Playstation 4 (hey, playstation owns Gran Turismo. I love those games!)
-PSP
-PSV
-NES
-SNES (technically, I already have those, I own a wii(I really like Super Mario Bros))
-N64
-GC
-Wii U
-GBC
-GBA
-NDS
-3DS
-Sega Master System
-Game Gear
-Any other Sega console
-Atari 2600
-Atari Lynx (the almost-handheld!lol)

I think that about covers it.
