Nintendo Mini Classic case

Postby pumpkinlink » Mon Nov 17, 2014 6:09 pm

Hey guys, I have this Nintendo Mini Classic super Mario bros LCD game and I always wanted to transform it into a proper decent pixel game. Do you guys think it is even possible to fit the gamebuino in there?
Maybe I could split it in one more layer. The back cover has lots of wasted space and I just wanted to re-use the d-pad and screen hole. Kind of like that guy did with the GamePi, fitting a Raspberry Pi into a gameboy, but this time in a smaller scale.

I think it is possible.
All SMD and a OLED display.
Only the battery is a Problem i think.

Yes, you'd surely need a custom pcb and a good button adapter, but it seems doable. You'd probably have to power it off of a rechargeable coin cell just for space.
