Hi,

I've been making something similar to Gamebuino with my dad, and I am very excited about Gamebuino as its hardware is already very developed. Here is a video that I did of our console (called "magpi") where I show a drawing program I wrote for it:

It is a lot like Skyrunner65's idea for a sprite editor.

This could be easily converted over into Gamebuino format (we use the same screen). This program would allow you to draw sprites right on the Gamebuino itself. I'm not trying to steal Gamebuino's stage and put it on to the magpi, I just think that they can work well together, and since we already wrote this program, I thought I'd share it.

Here is the code by the way: https://github.com/zippy/magpi

If you're interested, here is an instructable for the magpi: http://tinyurl.com/lu65w3r

Thanks!

hi qubist, i also like that idea of a sprite editor on thedevice itself, but i think it needs a bit more ui since a blicking dot in a painting wont be easy to spot, i personaly think navigting wil be slow to
and with sprites id also like some little bit of animation or image loops to test on,
what about making one sprite pixrels 3 or 4 creen pixels with an option to turn on a grid
rough concept on how id do it (wen making a file u can ask how much x/y pixels u want)
Image

anyway i dont think this topic was the best place to advertise ur console
but it look very nice

Yeah, your idea looks much better for building sprites. Maybe mine is better for drawing a whole screen or a bigger image.

I wasn't trying to advertise  :) .
