I guess the title is slightly confusing. I'm also not good at titles!

You want a sprite to move? Take my game as an example (or just rip it from me, it's too early for me to care) and add some physics. Take care to take the Stable Version, as the broken is there to help others help me.
Also, will the whole arena fit in the screen, or will the camera focus on the character you are playing as?

 That's exactly what I need! Ill try to recreate your example and add fighting an HP(or if I'm less lazy percentages, shocking I know). Thanks. Altough I do think that would be a perfect fighting/platforming game on it's own.

Well I would say yes to that, but I do like building projects from the ground up, Ill try using bits of code from your example, though.

I'm planning it to fit in one screen, and the camera will NOT focus on each individual fighter, unless I add I2C multilayer support later on in beta.

And, 3, 2, 1, development started!

Sorry for reposting this  ;) .

Talking Controls, will there be a separate button for jumping, or are you taking from Super Smash Brothers?

Also, if you want a good play area, player sprites would have to be TINY.

I noticed you want HP (or percentages), I suggest one of three things:
1. Don't show it. Does real life have HP? No.
2. Show it in the top-left corner.
3. Do it Smash style.

Other than a piece of code not working the game's alpha SHOULD be out by NOVEMBER 22 with the following classes, that can be changed or determined by you guys:

BOMBER
ASSASSIN
KNIGHT

These classes are alpha only and may change in beta to smash's icons:

MARIO
LINK
KIRBY
PEACH
NESS
CAPTAIN FALCON(FALCO PUNCH)
JIGGILYPUFF(?)
PIKACHU

and quite possibly, but not sure yet:

MASTER HAND

Exited? I'm exited as well too, so look forward to November 22. Want more characters? Comment below with code or ideas to add to the game!

Nova, huh? I'll try my hand.
Gotta give me some time though.
How big do you want the characters to be?
Is that all you need? Would you like an apple pie with that?

Characters should fit as a 5x5 spite if not 6x6. Yes, I would like apple pie with that, and a pizza- cheese only. Programming nova is getting so frustrating(Cursor not working, Arduino not working, several reboots to prevent a crash, gamebuino crash), I'm deciding to kick-start the project off chess(and checkers)!
