[WIP] Run - An Endless Runner

Hello !

This is my current project, called 'Run'. It's an endless runner in the same style of Canabalt or Jetpack Joyride. The goal is to make the highest score possible without dyeing. You gain point by surviving, and you can gain more by staying in the air long enough and catching bonuses. For that, you can jump multiple times, and you regain your jumps by landing of catching a bonus. Finally, the speed of the game increase the more you stay alive.

The game feature randomly generated levels, an almost functional high score system (I have to implement the renaming of the player) and a small particle engine for special effects.

What need to be done :
  • Renaming your highscore
  • Testing the game on a real device (I only have access to Simbuino for the testing, and the speed seems to slow, so I will adjust that as soon as I receive my Gamebuino )
  • Add a splash screen
  • Improve the menu (Only PLAY works at the moment, and I think you can't leave properly the game)

Your game is very promising.

In my gamebuino particule and bonus are not very visible.

Thanks, I'll fix that as soon as I can test the game on the real hardware ;) .

With the blocks and platforms, this reminds me of Geometry Dash. You should add spikes, floating blocks, and theme music, and name it Endless Dash. Just a thought.
