DeathMaze by msevilgenius Based somewhat on the first game in the book
'49 Explosive Games for the ZX81' which I happen to have a copy of.

Guide the player through a randomised maze from left to right as fast as possible, the score is continually decreasing until you reach the end, colliding with any wall will apply a penalty, reducing the score.
The highest score is recorded, you can clear it by removing the DEATHMAZ.SAV from the sd and reflashing the game.
No specific extra hardware is required.
controls:
RIGHT: move right
UP : move up
DOWN: move down
B : restart/new maze
A : same as B but only once the current maze is finished
UPDATE:New version:
C now returns to title screen
Player should be easier to see

Looks fun. Thanks for posting the zip file!
Oh and thanks for the book. It looks like a good reference for games on our platform (a lot more than 8k rom!) ...now if I could just get it to download...

Yeah, I wanted to make it easy to differentiate from the walls of the maze.
How about having it render as a solid square while you're moving it and blinking (a bit slower than it does now) when you're not?
