Paqman - now with sound!

Finally: Uploaded the finshed version of Paqman, a quite faithful port of the original.

Image

It features the original-maze with vertically scrolling playfield, powerpills and four ghosts with the original different "characters" of the four ghosts including scatter and chase modes.

I hope you like it. It was quite hard to implement the ghost-logic with the four different types of chase-ai.

Have fun!

Wow, well done Sir! Impressive.
Tell me if I'm wrong but when you press "C" to pause the game it looses your progression?

Edit:
You can set
Code: Select all
gb.sound.prescaler = 2;

so it plays sounds 2 times slower (but keeps the note's frequency). Pretty useful when you set the frame rate at 40, this way it doesn't affect the startup sound ;)
You can also change the FPS to 40 after titleScreen().

I love it, it's extremely authentic. The only issue I have is the lack of the score unless you're at the very bottom or top, but I suppose you don't have much time to check your score while you're playing anyway.

Yeah, right. I didn't want to sacrifice part of the screen for score. More screen = better playability was my focus.

I will add correct sounds later when the wiki explains how to do it and hopefully there will be an editor.

Maybe there is a way to stick the score on the big side walls by the tunnel, or at the ghost house.
But I doubt it is that important. Congrats on a great port!
