Introduce yourself!

Yet another new user

Hey!

I'm in the IT field and work as a technician, a wanna-be programmer, and free-software advocate.(fsf.org [plug!])
I found the Gamebuino from search listings after looking for a Gameboy(R) clone.
Really happy to find this instead of investing any more time into that.

Until I learn to help with projects and make my own, I'll be lurking around the forums.

Cheers!

Hey, welcome in the Gamebuino community!
If you want to learn, you should look at the examples provided with the library, they are pretty easy to understand and most of them are well commented. If you don't have a Gamebuino yet you can run them using one of the emulators. Good luck :)

Thanks rodot!

I've looked at some examples and made some changes and it's been making sense so far; hoping my brain doesn't give out.
And watched the tutorial from adekto listed on the Wiki(Thanks adekto!) and tried out a few games on the emulator.

Also went ahead and bought the starter kit last night; super excited. :D

Sounds good, that's the way to get started with it ;)
I do assembly and shipping on week-ends (I'm still a student, 8h hours of classes day hehe), so it will be shipped within one week (you'll receive a tracking number then). Thanks for your purchase :)

No worries, perfectly understandable. It'll give me time to work on other stuff.
Thanks for the product, still super excited. Hope the purchase helps with school expenses!
I'm still paying off my student loans from 2008..
