Contrasting views

Since I dropped my Gamebuino I seem to be able to change the contrast if pressure is applied to the right side of the casing. So it's currently a situation of 'don't apply pressure to the right side of the case'.....but, any idea which component on the board could change the contrast like that? Is a change in resistance of one of the components able to do that - or indeed flexing the the pcb itself?

Thanks

Probably the lcd against the pcb is the issue.
But better wait for a more professional guess.

Erico is right, it comes frome the contact between the screen and the PCB. You might want to snap off the screen, clean the rubber contacts on the back, and snap it back on the PCB. Make sure it's correctly snapped in so the contrast wont vary depending on pressure.
