My Gamebuino won't recognize certain .hex files [SOLVED]

Postby superfreaky » Sun Nov 15, 2015 5:35 am

So I tried to put Smash and Crash on my Gamebuino and it won't recognize the file no matter what. No logo, no nothing on the bootloader. I don't know if the .inf file is bad or what, but it sure is annoying. :x

Has the hex file got a short name which is written in capital letters? Maybe try to make the ".hex" capital, too

Plug your SD-Card to the computer, open it, rename the file.

It worked! Why does the Gamebuino only recognize files with capital .HEX? I thought I read somewhere that that didn't matter.

Which version of the LOADER are you having? As it shouldn't matter, on a FAT filesystem every single file uses an internal filename which follows the 8.3 standart.

I have no idea. It is what it came with. I purchased the GB sometime in October, if that helps.
