Need to solder USB connector back on

Sustained some physical damage to my Gamebuino and now I need to solder on the mini-USB connector (plus buy another acrylic case).

Does anyone have any tips on this process or warnings? Obviously, I'll remove the acrylic cover before I start soldering. Want to make sure the result is fairly sturdy and doesn't have any shorts.
