Postby Aisjam » Sat Jan 21, 2017 12:47 pm

Hello,

I have been experiencing an issue where i would like to connect my Gamebuino to my Mac however it is only showing bluetooth for the ports. I have been trying to find the correct driver for it however no luck just yet.

my Arduino can connect fine however;
- I have tried mulitple usbs, connecting it in when it is on
- reseting the computer
- following this from spark fun https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ho ... c#yosemite. even the part for yosmite

here are my specks
Mac OS: 10.10.5 Yosemite
Arduino IDE: 1.8.1

Is anyone having this issue for mac? What OS version do you have.

Have you installed the normal AVR boards via the board manager?

If not, try using a different USB port......USB can be weird like that

currently Have Arduino AVR Boards 1.6.17 Installed. I have used my main development usb (has the data connector in there) plus 5 others. the main thing i keep reading is that yosmite has included their own data transfer and clashes with D2xx. i have removed apples one but still no luck, my other arduinos connect fine though.

is there another way i could test the usb connector on the gamebuino to make sure that isn't the problem?

Ooooh, are you using the micro usb cable that shipped with it? Not all allow data transfer, some only allow charging. So try a different cable ^.^
