No Sound and Stuck on Flashing loader...

Hello,
My console arrived yesterday and have been putting it together today. It switches on and the controls are working, however..
- No sound.
I accidentally stripped one of the sound wires (rather than the solid core wire :-/ ). I managed to find a small piece of wire at home which I have used. I wonder it the type of metal will make a difference? I'm not sure if it is copper. Could this be the problem?
-When I press 'C' on the main screen with the SD card inserted, the 'Flashing loader... DON'T TURN OFF!' message comes up, but it has been stuck on it for about 10 minutes. I have turned it off and tried again, but it is still stuck on this screen.

Hello,
You can test this tips from Troubleshouting page http://gamebuino.com/wiki/index.php?title=Troubleshooting:
You can turn your Gamebuino off, hold 'C' down, turn it on, wait for a second, and then release 'C'. The screen will stay blank for up to 20 seconds while it loads your game. Don't turn off your Gamebuino while it's loading a game.
