[SOLVED] uploading via usb

hi just wondering if anyone has this problem where ur unable to upload to the gamebuino over usb
do not that the device has to be turned on to be programmed to

i have tried using both mac and windows machines and the ide just cant seem to find it
just to note i have the done the setup on the pc corectly also if its just me thats ok since its one of the test models

Yep the Gamebuino has to be turned on to upload games.
Can you charge the battery with the USB cable ?
Did you try to upload your program with a another cable ?

Your USB port might be defective as I didn't check each USB port on the first batch of 20 Gamebuino... sorry about that. Now I check every single USB port because about 0,5% of them are defective.

charging works, but i already suspected some issue with the early birds
not game breaking though since we got the sd card, only problem is updating it at some point

Updating what ?
At least with the micro SD card you won't break the saved games. Because if you upload a different game though USB the loader won't have any way to know the game has changed and may overwrite your saved games.
