Problems with the sd card

Ok, so when I pluged in the USB mircosd adapter it says to insert a disk so I do and then when I click on it again it says to insert a disk I have tried using a sd card adapter but that did not work either so if someone could please do and thanks

Have you inserted the micro SD card into the adapter before plugging it into your computer?

Did you try to move the micro SD card in the adapter? Be sure it's correctly aligned before you plug it in.
