This plays really nice! I like the idea of highlighting the squares that merge and the new squares that appear.
However, I found a small glitch with the highlighting: if you do a move, and then immediately start mashing buttons that don't move any tiles, the highlighting stays until you make your next move.
Other than that, great game!
P.S. ...at the risk of sounding spammy, I'm making a 2048 clone, too. Looking forward to seeing how it fares when there are now two others already made.

Thanks for the feedback. The highlight bug is corrected.
I also changed the welcome screen.
I like your animation for new tiles !
Also, feel free to pick what you want from A3K for your version of 2048. The more we are to work on it, the better the ideas will be !

You're welcome. You never know what use pushing random buttons will have
Also, thanks for the compliment! :)
I don't think I'll need any help to finish (what I have left seems pretty straightforward), but I appreciate the offer. ;)

Updates
I have made some modifications / added some features to the game :
- keep best score of each (high score not accessible to everybody in my familly)
- save & restore current game
- new title logo & in-game logo
- Modifications of the score displays

Download & source
Download .zip containing source, hex,elf
GitHub repository
This will probably mark the end of the updates of this game.
Enjoy as it is !
