Hey guys I have just finished a game, and wanted to start a series of games similar to the game and watches games. I want to start out with a game called ball.

Tell me what you guys think, and if you guys want to be the artists or even programmers, please leave a reply below.
Thanks

I can make Ball if you want me to. :)

Ok, I'm on vacation, so I can't really do the programming yet, but it would be great if you could create the sprites beforehand so all I have to worry about is the programming.
Thanks

I'm a big fan of the old LCD games, but more the watch games (not the game&watch) http://www.gamewatchguys.com/watch_collection.php

:-)

I recall that game :-) It would be nice to have a few mini games.

I agree too, I really miss the days of the old gameboy.

I'm not too sure about how I'm going to implement the ball physics such as making it going around in a semicircle around the player.

You might want to check the examples/tutorials.
Since your need is for static sprites, either on or off, it might not be that too hard to pull.
I haven´t tackled gamebuino game dev yet, so I can´t be of much help.

Ok, thanks I'll see what I can do.

You don´t actually need physics but timing for that, when to display.
Most of older gamewatches had horrible physics, maybe that is a front to improve?

Whoa! I'm gone for nearly 2 hours and suddenly 8 more replies! Better get the ball rolling on my spriting... ;) (Pun : Necessary)

As for Donkey Kong...We might have to do what Game & Watch Gallery 2 Did with switching screens, and probably in vertical mode as well.

Actually, we could just scroll the screen up to display the entire level for donkey kong.
And keep up with the awesome sprites! They look awesome!
P.S.
I'm going to actually work on ball on Saturday so I might be off the forum until then.

Hey quirby64 what image editor are you using?
Quirby64 Thu Jul 02, 2015 7:37 pm
I use GIMP, it's the best image editor around imo :)

Got the 1st half of DK done...This was as hard as Mario's Cement Factory, so much stuff on one screen... :?

Hey Quirby64 I'm going to work on ball tomorrow and I might finish it on Sunday.
Do you have all the sprites done for ball?

Edit: How big are the tiles and how big is the player In donkey kong?

Hey guys, I have a rtc module and I'm thinking about adding it to the games so they can have the time displayed.
Tell me what you guys think
Thanks
Quirby64 Sat Jul 18, 2015 8:44 pm
So how goes the work on Ball? :)
As for the RTC module, you could make it an optional feature for those with it. :P

Hey Quirby, I finished ball but I didn't want to make it public because the physics is horrible. I am working on pokeuino though.(A Pokemon clone)

Hey Awesome101!
Never give up! :D
Don't hesitate to share it as WIP project! Guys here will probably have ideas to improve stuff and make the game alive!

Hello,

I also love these games and I found a site from witch I would love to have some games on my Gamebuino.
I received my gamebuino today and after fiddling with the screen (after a drop it got misaligned) for a couple of hours :P now it works great.

My plan was to start developing these games but I'm very glad there are others that want these.

I found this site that has more examples of the type of games I would like to have on Gamebuino. Hope it's not against the rules to post it here.

Great stuff :)

Hi!

Where could I download your game and watch "Mario's Cement Factory", @Quirby64 ? I want to play it!
Quirby64 Thu Jan 12, 2017 11:37 pm
@chomb
I can't code for the life of me, I just provide graphics or music when needed (sometimes). So it hasn't been made yet, but you could always have a shot at it! \.o./
