used to have a Phillips 3DO. aside form that, N64, SNES, PSX, PSOne, PS2, Gamecube, NES, Xbox, Xbox360, and an Atari 2600 (which is funny, because it predates me). Most of them where tossed when they wore out, which, because I bought stuff used, was pretty often.

Mmmh, the consoles I have... two Gamebuino prototypes, that's pretty much it. I'm a PC user, I have many computers :P
@Skyrunner: I wonder why do you have all these consoles who existed years before you, do you collect them? Do they belong to someone older in your family?

I kind of lost interest in stationary game consoles so I sold my 360 & PS3 and will probably skip the current/next gen. I do however enjoy games from the days of yore.
My systems:
I occasionally play games on iPad or iPhone. I also develop iOS games in my spare time
My systems:
- -Famicom
-Game Boy (Classic)/Pocket/Color
-Game Gear
-a few jap. Mega Drive and Mega CD Consoles
-NDS
-PSOne

First, I like the PC's power too.
Second, they belong to my dad.

Didn't Phillips Cd-Is suck, especially the Zelda games? They still use it for Youtube Poop (which is sometimes funny).
I want an Ouya!

GBA
Dreamcast
NDS
A few PS2s
Gamecube
Wii
XBox
PSP Phat
PSP slim
PS3

And when my boy is a few years older and I get my life back again I'll finally get around to picking up a Wii U, XBOne and PS4.

The cdi is an important system but was more then a game console, its the predecessor of dvd and it was more a way to play pc point and click games on tv, we owned the 7th guest and it was awesome
And u are aware how nintendo was back then

+ tons of PCs.
I'm not listing the Game and Watches. :P
Some kind of Sinclair coming soon, with cassettes tapes (inheritance). I need to find an Atari 2600 to add to the collection.
As you can see, not a lot of recent consoles, I'm a retrogamer at heart. :)

I own a lot of misc. games because I'm a collector but not too many systems especially looking at all of yours Skyrunner! This was a pretty cool idea also I can confirm the Zelda CDI games were terrible. Lot of grinding and cheap deaths with gameplay that was closer to Zelda II than anything else so you can see why a lot of people didn't like them.

Yes it did. It was made about as much fail as Phillips Interactive Multiplayer (IE, the first 3DO console, which I had)
They both had full motion video capabilities, where overpriced, and generally hilariously bad in most titles.

Sadly, the only consoles I have are (1) the Nintendo Wii. Although, actually, that kinda means you have most of their old consoles. The other console I have is Gamebuino, which I love. Aside from that, I have a pc with an i5 2500K (boostable :D ) with an Nvidia Geforce GTi 650. It can run pretty much anything. Here are a few of my favorite games:
-Portal 2. You need a decent pc, any i3 should do the job.
-Unturned* This one is a zombie survival game, but with low-style graphics (think Minecraft minus the blocky ground.) I run this on an i3.
-Planetside 2* This is an advanced war game. You'll need a fast pc for this one. At least a higher up i5.
-TeamFortress 2* This is awesome! A unique fps. i3 or so.
-Hawken* This game is pretty cool. It's like a fps except you are in a futuristic walker thing. You need a decent pc. If you have an i3, you might not be able to run it.
Battlefield 4. This is one of the best shooters out there. Great graphics, super realistic gameplay. You'll need a fast pc for this one too.
Any game with an asterisk after it can be found for free on Steam! Have fun!

I didn't see this topic ;)
I love retrogaming! I recently installed Lakka on an unused nettop, got some Atari 2600, NES, SNES and Genesis USB controllers (around $3 a piece on eBay), I can play all games I used to play in my youth  love it!
I used to own an Atari 2600 and a Sega Master System but they are now broken, so it's nice to be able to play these games again from PC.
Other than that I have working Gameboy Micro, Nintendo DS, and 3DS, as well as a Sony Playstation 2 and a Wii (these two use HDMI-dongles to work with a PC monitor, I don't own any TV, never watched it)
Zelda games are really my favorite, from ALTTP on the SNES to Skyward Swords on the Wii, they are really fun to play ;)

Wow really, a Game Boy Micro? Those are only like, super rare! How does it compare in size to the Gamebuino? I think it's a little bit larger, right?
mougino Fri Oct 30, 2015 6:52 pm
Few millimeters larger yes but otherwise almost the same size.
I wasn't aware those were rare.. Mine seem nearly undestructible :) battery and all still work great

superfreaky Fri Oct 30, 2015 11:51 pm
Ok, I knew they were very similar in size.
Yeah, Gameboy Micro came out a little before the DS, and that kinda stole its thunder. If you look on ebay you can find rather worn out ones at upwards of $150, up to about $300 for ones in decent condition. I looked into getting one a while back, but getting a GBA SP in the same condition would cost like $30

Cheaper Gameboy Micro:
http://www.lukiegames.com/search.asp?q=gameboy+micro
None in stock right now, but check often, they restock all their consoles fairly often. If you are fast enough you could grab one for cheap.

Wow. I've never seen a Game Boy Micro that cheap before! At least not in working condition. I wonder where they get them? Anyway, I guess that proves that ebay doesn't always save money.
Drakker Sat Oct 31, 2015 1:08 am
Nowadays eBay is almost always more expensive... and often significantly more expensive. I haven't bought anything on eBay for a long time.
superfreaky Sat Oct 31, 2015 1:13 am
It does depend on what you're after. For instance, sometimes you find things like the Raspberry Pi for cheaper. Then again, sometimes not. The main way you can save money is if you get an auction all to yourself.

Interesting how you have all these consoles that haven't been made in years! I can understand that, though. If I had my way, I would have every console produced, and a lot of games for each. Here's my 'fantasy list' top hits(this includes modern consoles):
-XBOX
-XBOX 360
-Playstation
-Playstation 2
-Playstation 3
-Playstation 4 (hey, playstation owns Gran Turismo. I love those games!)
-PSP
-PSV
-NES
-SNES (technically, I already have those, I own a wii(I really like Super Mario Bros))
-N64
-GC
-Wii U
-GBC
-GBA
-NDS
-3DS
-Sega Master System
-Game Gear
-Any other Sega console
-Atari 2600
-Atari Lynx (the almost-handheld!lol)
I think that about covers it.
